This is not a painting about form — it is a painting about weight.
The fabric is not simply placed; it is captured mid-motion. The folds suggest something between falling and resisting, as if the material once moved freely but was arrested at a precise, irreversible moment.
The green is not calm. It feels deep, almost organic — like a surface beneath which something continues to exist. The golden tones emerge like traces of light, but also like wear, as if time has already passed through the material.
The lower part gathers density and tension, while the upper area holds restraint — an attempt to maintain structure.
Behind the Curtain speaks of what is hidden versus what is revealed.
Of softness that has been fixed.
Of movement that no longer has a future.
