utopia
There are places that exist only in the space between sleep and waking — where green is deeper than any forest you have visited, and light falls from somewhere that has no name.
This painting was built with both brush and bare hands, layer by layer, searching for that place. The white centre pulls the eye inward, held by a fractured ridge of texture — moss, crystal, something broken and alive at once. Around it, deep greens move in currents, as if the air itself is breathing.
A painting about longing for a world that feels just out of reach. And the strange peace of knowing it exists somewhere.
