Something breaks open at the centre of this painting and refuses to close.

Light emerges from a white-hot core, pulling warm golds and raw umbers into darker, compressed edges. The work was created intuitively, with hands and fingers working directly in the paint, at the moment where control gave way to instinct.

The surface is built in dense, layered gestures over many hours. Its texture responds to light, shifting subtly as the viewer moves.

This painting holds a quiet intensity — not calm, but charged. A physical memory of movement, pressure, and release.
